Yes, we are already in 2020 and what better way to kick off the new year than to present you with the upcoming trends in the pastry world. I did a little tour on social media and on different pastry sites to find out what 2020 has in store for us.
First, I present to you the colours that will be in high demand. We will be transported into a world with very romantic and serene colours for this spring and summer, where as, for the fall-winter season, the tones are more warm and powerful. But what are these colours? Here they are:

In fact, what will make the charm of the cakes this year is the delicate and simple side of the décor and the deep and captivating side created by the various textures and colour arrangements.
No more overloaded decorations or fondant cakes as well as the 'naked cake' style; but rather, we opt for a light décor but with textures in buttercream and for my greatest joy, being a floral lover myself, flowers will be in the spotlight this year. Flowers are an excellent choice when you want to harmoniously combine simplicity, textures and colours. Plus, they offer us a whole world of possibilities as far as styles go, from sweet romances to delicate little spring flowers, elegant peony and the traditional rose, passing through the pure and colourful essence of the wildflowers.
So inconclusion, 2020 will be a year to return to the essentials, that is the natural beauty of cakes; a beauty that allows us to feel all the love, the emotions and the delicacy but above all, the passion that arises from the creation of this art.
